The UbuCon India 2025 Organising Committee is pleased to invite proposals for presentations, workshops, and lightning talks for the inaugural UbuCon India conference, scheduled to take place in Bengaluru from November 15-16, 2025 (Tentatively).
We invite submissions on a wide range of topics. While we are open to all innovative ideas, proposals should ideally align with one of the following tracks:
-
Desktop: Ubuntu Flavours, Desktop Environments (GNOME, KDE), Application Packaging (Snaps, Debs), Gaming, User Experience (UX/UI), and Accessibility.
-
Cloud & Infrastructure: Ubuntu Server, Public/Private Cloud (OpenStack), Containerisation (Docker, LXD), Orchestration (Kubernetes (K8s), MicroK8s), and Infrastructure as Code (Juju, MAAS, Ansible).
-
DevOps & Security: Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Automated Systems Management, Network Security, Application Security (AppArmor), and Hardening Best Practices.
-
Embedded Systems & IoT: Ubuntu Core, Raspberry Pi, Robotics, Automotive, and custom hardware deployments.
-
Documentation, Community & Open Source: Writing documentations for Open Source projects, building and managing communities (LoCos), contribution guidelines and pathways, FOSS advocacy, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and open-source licensing.
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML): This track is dedicated to the powerful intersection of AI/ML and the Ubuntu ecosystem. We invite talks that cover the full lifecycle of an AI project—from setting up a development environment on the desktop to deploying scalable models in the cloud and at the edge. Whether you are building foundational models, creating robust MLOps pipelines, or exploring the ethics of AI, this is the place to share your work with the community.
