COVID-19 Information
Masks and Vaccination
In May 2023, the World Health Organization declared that COVID-19 is no longer an international health emergency. There is no need to present a certification of vaccination, recovery from COVID-19, or negative test results. It is not mandatory to use face masks or respirators, however, medical institutions and other service providers reserve the right to determine if there is a need to use face mask or respirators when assessing risks.
Testing
We have rapid tests available to distribute in case they are needed. If you would like to test more regularly, please additionally bring your own. If you are displaying symptoms but are testing negative, please wear a mask as a courtesy towards others.
Testing Positive
If you test positive before the event, you should not travel or attend the 2023 Ubuntu Summit. If you test negative before travelling you are welcome to join us in Riga.
If you test positive for COVID-19 while in Riga, you must self isolate in the hotel you are staying in. Please check Latvia's COVID-19 isolation guidelines for accurate and up to date information.
If you are staying in the event hotel, please check with the receptionists using the phone in your room and/or email summit@ubuntu.com.
