The workshop is intended for students/developers to get started with Linux kernel development process, kernel repositories, how to select and configure your development system, basics of Linux kernel architecture, kernel module development, how to write kernel patches and test them and how to communicate with the kernel community.
Session author's bio
Vandana has been a well-recognized leader in Linux kernel engineering for over 24 years. She has a broad experience with focus on bringing in new software technologies to the products and leading open-source product developments.
Throughout her career, Vandana has worked in companies like Intel, Nvidia, LSI and few startups driving cutting edge technologies in networking, Security, Server and Mobile. Currently working at Micron Technology as Software Architect driving Micron's CXL memory products.
Her domain of expertise include system software development for different IPs and SoCs targeting Mobile development, security, hardware acceleration engines for AI and networking for data center infrastructure.
Vandana has a great passion in mentoring team members with her prior companies as well as members of the Linux community. She regularly gives presentations on the latest technology advancements and developments at various conferences such as Linux Foundation's Open source summit.
