Description
Rust is now one of the leading choices for building reliable, performant, infrastructure applications. While Ubuntu today is the Linux distro of choice for developers.
In this presentation, I'd like to talk about our experience of building Parseable, a logging platform written in Rust - with Ubuntu not only as our development platform but also as the OS of choice for running in production deployments.
I'll also like to cover
- Tools and dependency ecosystem in Ubuntu for a Rust project.
- Pitfalls and issues we faced as we developed the project.
I believe this will be a great session for intermediate level of attendees who are proficient in Ubuntu and are looking to get started with Rust based applications.
