A high level overview of the various components that make up proton/steam play, what they do and how they work together. Also how Proton-GE differs from upstream Proton and how we work together with the Proton team to get bugs reported and fixed.

My Name is Thomas Crider, however most people know me by my online handle as GloriousEggroll. I am a Software Maintenance Engineer for Red Hat, and have maintained a fork of Proton (Proton-GE) since Proton's initial creation. I am also a Lutris developer and part of the WINE Staging maintainance team. Additionally I am the head developer of Nobara Linux, a fork of Fedora aimed at gaming and content creation.
