Description
UKUI is the default desktop environment of the Ubuntu Kylin flavor, which is developed by the Ubuntu Kylin team and has been included in the official repositories of 11 Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, ArchLinux, Fedora, manjaro and openSUSE. In this lighting talk, we will talk about the latest development and features of the UKUI 4, and the future plans of UKUI 5.

Xiaodong Liu, TC member and co-founder of UbuntuKylin (https://www.ubuntukylin.com/index-en.html). Research interests mainly focus on open-source software and operating system. The open-source UKUI desktop environment project (https://www.ukui.org/index.php?lang=en) led by him has been included in the repositories of 11 Linux distributions including Debian, ArchLinux, Ubuntu, Fedora, and openSUSE. He is passionate about promoting open source concept and culture in China, and was awarded the title of "Open Source Pioneer of China" in 2022.
