Description
In this presentation, I will discuss my journey of creating an Open Source submarine. Its purpose is to scan areas where scuba divers explore and generate a 3D map of the recreational scuba diving areas. I will also explain how various Open Source technologies were integrated to make this project successful.

Juanmi Taboada has been captivated by technology since his early years, developing a strong interest in computers at the age of 11. His passion led him to engage in research and invention, and he built his first LAN in 1998, becoming involved in wireless networks. By 2004, he was appointed as the president of Málaga Wireless and the vice president of ANURI.
With expertise in Linux, security, and ethical hacking, Juanmi worked at UMA, where he gained extensive knowledge of servers, security, and high-availability systems. He then interned at SUNY Optometry, assisting a researcher with experiments on the localization of neuronal links between the eyes and the primary visual cortex.
In 2005, Juanmi founded Centrologic, his own company, and focused on developing innovative solutions for businesses. He then joined Veturis Travel in 2018, where he developed complex software to locate available hotel rooms worldwide.
